Fujifilm FinePix F650 Review: The great 5x optical zoom makes this camera an awesome buy. The picture clarity is great. The 5x lens makes this camera a little bit bigger than other compact cameras, but it is a great balance between convenience and picture quality. The only downside is the battery life. I am planning on buying a second battery for those long days at Disney with the kids.

Fujifilm FinePix F650 Review: We got this camera around mother’s day a few months ago and it is absolutely amazing. The large screen makes it alot easier to see your pictures. It has an amazing flash that i can take pictures in the dark as if i was in daylight. The best setting is auto, and its never blurry, you can even take pictures with it when your in the car and get a perfect still image. Its a good choice all around and i strongly recommend it.

    Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3A

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3A Review: This camera records long, red bars on your movies if you are shooting outside. It isn’t just my model; every Panasonic Lumix FS3 comes with a yellow paper in its box explaining that this happens. The red bar doesn’t show up in pictures but it shows up in every movie you record in the sun. As soon as I read the warning, I took my camera outside and shot a few seconds of video in the sun. Sure enough, there was an ugly red bar in the video.

My question is, why doesn’t Amazon let their customers know about this problem. Panasonic tells you right off the bat when you open the box but it would have been nice to have been warned BEFORE I bought it. Now I have to send it back and wait for a refund.

    Olympus C765

Olympus C765 Review: The camera has been superb in taking detail photos of my architecture models. No details are forgotten when using the zoom. Everything u need to take quality photos are at your finger tips. Only set back was that the camera came with a 16MB storage card. Also the price was too high, even when buying at CompUSA. Other than that, the product is working just fine.

Olympus C765 Review: I got this camera recently as a replacement for my 4 years old C-700 that broke when I dropped it to the ground by mistake. Although some reviewers said that this camera is bulky in comparison to other popular digital cameras, I find it more compact than my old camera and does not look silly even if you bring it to a party & etc. However, due to its protuded lens part, it won’t fit into a small camera case so choose a medium camera case if you are looking for one.

    Kodak Advantix C750

Kodak Advantix C750 Review: I bought this camera based on the reviews about how sharp the pictures are, I had already owned another APS camera by Kodak and needed to upgrade for my next trip. I tested it by pretending to be a tourist and took pictures as if I would do while I was on vacation. As a former professional photographer, I wanted to see what it would do under various circumstances. I used Fuji 200. Indoors with flash is fine, the real problems come from taking pictures outside. I found that in taking pictures outside there showed quite a bit of grain in the pictures. It did not capture the images as I framed them in the view finder. While it may be ok to use solely with its panoramic feature, I prefer to use my SLR for the important pics. I would not recommend this camera as an all around camera.

Kodak Advantix C750 Review: I purchased this camera for my parents for an upcoming vacation they were going to take. The overall impression was that it was Kodak, came with a better than average zoom feature, provided different modes of APS picture taking and came with numerous rolls of film.

    Fujifilm Finepix F40fd

Fujifilm Finepix F40fd Review: This Fuji F40fd impresses me all the time with the quality of its pictures. I bought this camera because of its strength in low light. The lack of manual controls was a known concern, but 99% of the time, it is a non-issue. I have another camera (big and bulky) with those controls and a big zoom and better macro. But for general use, it doesn’t take pics any better than this Fuji. And the Fuji wins sometimes. This F40fd can be had for a very good price and who knows how long they will be available. Look at the prices for the used F30fd and F31fd.

Fujifilm Finepix F40fd Review: I would not consider myself a digital camera expert by any means, but I’m very happy with the Finepix F40fd. The numerous modes make it such that you can get a good shot in almost any environment. The simultaneous natural/flash mode is especially useful. As far as video is concerned, the sound quality in much better than I expected; it’s not nearly as garbled as video I’ve seen taken from other digital cameras. The only sticking point is that the photo quality is merely sufficient. This camera won’t get any shots that take your breath away, but for the price, the quality is about what I expected. Overall, I’m definitely satisfied with this purchase.

    Fujifilm FinePix 2650

Fujifilm FinePix 2650 Review: This was the first digital camera that I owned and I got it for Christmas a couple of years ago and at first it was nice because I didn’t know any better. The camera is very wide. I personally like the slim cameras. The time it takes between pictures is WAY too long! Then the screen turns black if you wait too long to take the picture so you have to hit a button to turn the screen back on and that takes another 3 seconds.

The zoom feature sometimes doesn’t want to close. Also the batteries come out easily because they aren’t very secure. I’ve taken very good care of this camera. I only dropped the camera one time and now I hear a noice when I shake the camera like something is lose inside. The screen now turns black and won’t take any pictures.

    Panasonic DMC-FZ50S

Panasonic DMC-FZ50S Reviews: I agree in full with what everyone says about the image quality and ability to take raw pictures. It is a remarkable camera. One complaint I had was its ability to autofocus in low-light levels. Even manual focusing, which appeared on the screen to be in focus later turned out to be out of focus. I would recommend to them to use a white light focusing mechanism instead of the red light that comes on in low light, near object situations.

Cameras I have used with this white light have always autofocused better for me. What confused me was the inclusion of this camera in a ‘point and shoot’ category. By definition, it is a point and shoot in that it doesn’t have a mechanical shutter like the SLR cameras. However, the camera is rather large, and if one is expecting to take this camera in a carry-on on a plane, please refer to the pictures I uploaded using 2 other camera types against this camera.

    Olympus Stylus FE-210

Olympus Stylus FE-210 Reviews: As many others have said, this model and several other Olympus cameras have a problem that renders it unusable. I had the typical “Battery Empty” problem. I contacted Olympus service, downloaded an “update” , then the camera quit entirely. The next step is send it in. With no warranty it is not worth any repair charge. Customer service left a lot to be desired as well. With plenty of other choices this camera/brand is not recommended.

Olympus Stylus FE-210 Reviews: I got this as a part of a rewards program, so I didn’t know exactly what I was getting before it came, but I was hoping to have a cute birthday present for my almost 14 year old. When I read the reviews, I got nervous. So I popped it out and took it around with me a couple days, including an evening at a Sonics game that the hubby won tix for.

    Olympus Stylus 840

Olympus Stylus 840 Reviews: This camera is great! It takes nice quality video, very good pictures all in a very small package that even looks good. The quality of sound for video is minimal so obviously if you are recording something other than the family vacation you should go to a true video camera. Its very easy to use as well, reading the book was hardly necessary for me. One thing to watch out for is the optional muvee software you can buy after putting the included software on your computer.

Olympus Stylus 840 Reviews: Have had this camera for about a month now, and really like it! Although i have a Canon with 10 megapixels, i wanted a reasonably priced camera i could carry in my purse that had image stabilization since my other one does not. It actually takes pictures as good as the Canon. The 5xzoom is great, and fixing any shadowed pics or redeye is a snap in the camera. In low light, as many other point and shoots, there is some graininess, though.

    Kodak Easyshare Z812IS

Kodak Easyshare Z812IS Reviews: As an art/design instructor in a high school, I needed to find a camera which was durable enough for multiple users, had solid optical, had features which were easy to understand, and was at a reasonable price to be able to afford to buy multiple cameras. After reading many reviews, I purchased the Kodak Z1812IS.

After six months of the students using these, I am still impressed by the quality of both photo and video for the camera. Also, I particularly appreciate the aperture and shutter priority settings, which still give the user the ability to have some control over settings vs. a point and shoot. Also, the optical properties of the lens are of good quality. I was impressed for the price and would not hesitate to recommend this camera.
