Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K Review: My first impression of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K was it is a small camera. After playing around with some of the features I was impressed with this camera. The FZ-8K takes fantastic pictures that are truly very sharp. What I’m most surprised with is the feature for close ups or macro. I was taking pictures of coins that were as good as my Canon D20. So small but packed with so many features that blows your mind. I have taken this camera Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K outside and ran some test of my own to see what I could do with it. I took some pictures of some Finches that feed at one of my bird feeders. Took many pictures of some buildings and even went to the Zoo. Every picture came out perfect the bird pictures were so good that I had one made into a 5×7 and framed it. I have never used a Panasonic camera and I would have to say I’m impressed. I was so Impressed with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K that I also purchased a Panasonice DMC-L1.

The image stabalizer works great it’s not perfect but it will get the job done. I took a picture of the moon with out the use of a tripod came out nice. To sum this up if your in the market for a great camera that is easy to use and with more features for more advanced users look no farther. This can be a simple point and shoot or you are able to change many features to be more creative. After about an hour of playing with the camera the day it arrived. I new that this was a keeper in my book. It is small and I have big hands but fits me just fine. All controls for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K are easy to work when holding the camera. I bought a four gb memory card for it and a card reader. I no that this will never take the place of DSLR but the cost is a fraction and the results are and will amaze you what this little FZ8K can do. One thing maybe I can pass on is no matter what camera you are interested in read some reviews. I have never read a review on any camera that they have not found something wrong with it in some way.
What I’m saying is there is no perfect camera out there. But I will say the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K is as close to perfect as I will ever find. You have to handle the camera fill all the controls the make your own mind up. For me one that has a couple DSLR I’m very happy with my little Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K. I have used a Fugi point and shoot and a couple Canon point and shoot. My brother owns a Sony camera and loves it till he saw what the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K can do and do it better. My pictures come out sharper more vivid and my zoom is a so much better. The Sony my brother uses cost 245.00 and is a little smaller and he is able to put in a shirt pocket. Mine I can’t but feature for feature mine blows his away. I’m very happy with the performance and features that are on this Panasonic. Give this camera a chance and it to will make you as happy as it has made me. A fantastic camera for not allot of money.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K Review: This is the second digital camera that I have owned. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8Kis exactly what I wanted. I wanted to have the ability to experiment with manual focus, F-stops, apertures etc, but I also wanted something that I could just grab and shoot. The image stabilization feature is great. A lot of the pictures I have taken so far were from a moving train. No blurring at all. The image stabilization does have a potential downside when zooming it reminds me of a telescope because the subject moves out of range very quickly; it really requires a tripod in that situation. Another plus is how lightweight it is.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K Description: The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K features the 12x LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens, a small, lightweight lens that packs the same zoom power as a big, clunky 400mm-class film camera lens. This 12x optical zoom lens is super-bright, too, at f/2.8 to f/3.3 with a focal length of 7 to 72mm (equivalent to 36mm to 432mm in a 35mm film camera). You’ve got all the power and flexibility you need to take beautiful shots from telephoto to wide angle and macro. Designed for uses like bird watching, where you need maximum telephoto capability, the Extra Optical Zoom employs the center of the CCD to further extend the powerful 12x optical zoom when a resolution of less than 7.2 megapixels is used. This lets you extend the zoom ratio to 18x for 3-megapixel or less images.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K Description: The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K is absolutely the best camera I have owned. I spent three days and nights on the internet before going on a vacation determined to find a camera to take with me not exactly a brainy idea. I took it on the airplane, learned to use it while getting to Tampa, and it was truly the best I could have chosen. With its Leica lens, 12 optical zoom, and ease of handling, the pictures are exceptional.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K Review: I purchased the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K from Amazon about a month ago and I am very satisfied with the results and quality. While you can’t expect to get the level of detail and clarity as you would from an expensive DSLR, you can expect very good shots. Eventhough this camera has a 12x zoom, you can decrease the MP from 7 to 3 and the zoom goes to 18x optical. There are a ton of features in this camera. It’s very lightweight and easier to carry than my old Minolta w/ a 210 zoom. I compared many digital cameras before choosing this, but this had the best cost/benefit for me.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K Review: I bought this as an upgrade to my canon s2 Is. Here’s a quick pro and con of the two cameras. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K pros-Higher resolution, much lighter, larger lcd, battery life is great, better view finder. S2 Pros-lcd flips around to many different angles, solid feel, movie mode has more options. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K cons-Though nice and light has a bit of a toyish feel, movie records in mp4 which needs apple quicktime to play, no zoom while filming, although battery has great life it only fits this camera. S2 cons-Sucks down the AA battery juice, lower resolution, small lcd, neck strap starts to hurt neck due to cameras heavier weight and cheap strap. Both are really nice all around cameras.
