Kodak Easyshare Z812IS Reviews: As an art/design instructor in a high school, I needed to find a camera which was durable enough for multiple users, had solid optical, had features which were easy to understand, and was at a reasonable price to be able to afford to buy multiple cameras. After reading many reviews, I purchased the Kodak Z1812IS.

After six months of the students using these, I am still impressed by the quality of both photo and video for the camera. Also, I particularly appreciate the aperture and shutter priority settings, which still give the user the ability to have some control over settings vs. a point and shoot. Also, the optical properties of the lens are of good quality. I was impressed for the price and would not hesitate to recommend this camera.
Kodak Easyshare Z812IS Reviews: This camera takes so so pics, but is not built to last what so ever. Camera one lasted about 4 months with top notch care and just stopped working all together and support is nowhere to be found. The second one I bought, same model just more pixel’s started to have flash problems with the bulp after maybe 30 pics and now wont turn on at all, again with top notch care after just 3 weeks. Kodak camera’s suck, I got a HP and it works excellent and isn’t so cumbersome and lasts more than a few weeks for the price. Kodak is such a Waste of money for such a hefty price for it’s products.

Kodak Easyshare Z812IS Reviews: I love the detail of close ups with this camera and the zoom. The quality of the pics are great. I used this for my son’s 5 year pics instead of having them done professionally and I am pleased. I was especially impressed with the video as well. I would recommend this camera for those who want something a bit better then point a shoot, but nothing complicated. It had the same features as my old camera so I didn’t need to read directions either. I had to replace the battery pack quickly with 2 double A lithium batteries, but that’s not a big deal.

Kodak Easyshare Z812IS Description: The Z812-IS is part of the Kodak EasyShare System that makes sharing your pictures as easy as pressing a button. The elegant design of the Z812-IS provides a more enjoyable viewing experience of your picture on a 2.5″ color display. A high-speed digital processor chip, advanced algorithms, and hardware acceleration features let the Z812 IS make simultaneous, split-second decisions to produce rich, vibrant, true-to-life colors in almost any lighting situation. Every time you click the shutter, the Kodak Color Science Chip performs an instantaneous and advanced analysis of collected scene data to identify and adjust multiple factors that influence picture quality. Scene light source is detected and adjustments are made to capture bright whites and true, vivid colors.

Kodak Easyshare Z812IS Reviews: This camera has a very annoying feature of not taking the photo as soon as the shutter is pressed. There is a slight lag that, unless you are taking pictures of still life or scenery, is really annoying. I have young children so they were often heading out of the frame by the time the photo was taken. To me this is a deal breaker!

Also the camera comes packaged with very minimal guide book. If you want detailed info on this camera to really try out its features you have to download it from the Kodak website inconvenient and irritating. Kodak is trying to same a few dollars at the expense of their customers. I noticed too that the camera would often make a “purring” type noise. On the positive side it did take nice macro photos.

I ended up instead purchasing the Canon PowerShot SX100IS 8MP which is a fabulous camera and a much better choice. The optical zoom on this camera is slightly less than the Kodak- 10 instead of 12 but is a much better camera for a similar price. It is very user friendly and intuitive and takes beautiful photos.

Kodak Easyshare Z812IS Reviews: This camera was an upgrade from a Kodak EasyShare DX7630, giving us more pixels and higher telescopic images, plus the option of being able to put on an even higher level telescopic lens. We haven’t used all the bells and whistles yet, but we are very pleased with the ease of operation and the results so far.

Kodak Easyshare Z812IS Reviews: I love the new camera! I finally upgraded from what now seems like an antique. It’s easy to use, pictures are great. the only recommendation i would have for kodak is to send camera instructions with the camera. in order to actually learn more about all the features of the camera you have to down load/ print from the website. may be convenient for some, not for all. still learning how to take full advantage of the camera but love it none the less.
