Kodak EasyShare Z1285 Reviews: I was a little tentative when I purchased this camera due to the issue that I had with its previous model. That being said, this camera far exceeded my expectations in ease of use and especially picture quality. There was no comparison with pictures that I took with my three year old Kodak DX7630. None of the pictures had any grainy areas or artifacts as compared to some taken with my older camera. Pictures taken in low light levels were also improved and the panoramic picture mode is a great feature as well. The video quality is much improved, shooting up to 720p HD although it does take up a chunk of the memory card when using it. A rechargeable battery is a must have accessory for this camera as regular batteries run out of power very quickly when using it.

Kodak EasyShare Z1285 Reviews: This camera takes excellent pictures. Learning the differences between the settings is very important though. I tested all the settings in multiple lights and scenarios when I got the camera and when it came to using the camera at work, it was easy to take fantastic pictures. I received a lot of compliments for the pictures but it was mostly the camera. I let 5 to 10 year old students take pictures with the camera on smart scene and most came out pretty good! It was also very easy for them to use the zoom as well.

Kodak EasyShare Z1285 Reviews: I found a couple a reviews that made me cautious of buying my new camera Z1285. But I made my decision and it was a good one, my camera works just nice. I have made videos, taken pictures. Most I was worried about was how well it would perform in low light conditions, took a couple of pictures and they were OK for me so at this point I recommend that any body that want a good quality camera for a good price to buy Z1285. The 5x optic sum is superb.

Kodak EasyShare Z1285 Reviews: Unboxed the camera this afternoon and took some test shots under medium light conditions, and importantly, some “HD” video (1280×720). I’ve been eagerly awaiting a camera that would take better than 640×480 video. Picture quality is appalling - shots full of grain, poor compression. My Canon SD700IS blows it out of the water, not even comparable despite similar price range. The video was unwatchable unless mounted on a tripod as there clearly is no image stabilization. This will be returned immediately. Will give the newly announced Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500 a try when it comes out in a couple months.

Kodak EasyShare Z1285 Reviews: I wasn’t very big with the kodak brand digital cameras, but they have come a long way now. This camera packs 12MP worth of resolution, prints up to a whopping 30 x 40 print. Most people will never print that big, but that means your smaller prints will come out even clearer. One thing I love is that it works on my iMac with iLife 08. It’s Vista compatible. It shoots native 720P HD video. Basically, you need a very large SDHC card. I have an 8GB Transcend card that I bought off of New Egg. On that 8GB card I can shoot 2172 12MP photos, or 2 hours of HD video. This camera only shoots in 29min segments, so make sure you don’t need to continuously shoot for over 29mins long. To give you an idea of file size for video, it’s 1MB per sec. For pictures, it’s 2MB per image. Over all, i love this camera, I’m taking it to Europe this June, it is compact and easy to use.

    Price: $170 to $232
